(Event on SUNDAY) : Eastlands is partnering with Village Cinemas Eastlands and Children's Charity VARIETY to raise funds for community’s affected by our summer bushfires with a family movie screening of Return to Nim's Island on SUNDAY at 9.30am to midday. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased directly from Village Cinemas Eastlands. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Variety to raise much needed funds for the Bush Fire Appeal Community Project.

The West Hobart Recreation ground (The REC) is celebrating its 125th anniversary from 2pm to 5pm. Purchased in 1888 by locally elected trustees as a park for the community of West Hobart with funds provided by the Tasmanian Government.
